If I had to pick just one holiday to celebrate in NYC it would be the Lunar New Year. There’s something about the music and dancing that is very moving to me.
Yesterday was the first of the 9 performances the New York Chinese Cultural Center is doing at Hudson Yards New York. I wouldn’t have missed it for the world!
The NY Chinese Cultural Center will be performing the traditional lion dance, and ribbon and fan twirling with yo-yos. The dates and links are at the bottom of the page.
The yo-yo’s were an unexpected surprise!

There will be a total of 9 performances on Saturdays (1/27, 2/3, 2/10) at 1pm, 3pm and 5pm. See it in person and you’ll be so glad you made the trip!

So so graceful and delicate! Great coverage. Love the tinkling sound in the music 🎵 NYC such a “melting pot”.
